Mitch Dixon - Machine Operator

Mitch left school to pursue and gain a building trade, but is not unfamiliar with the civil contracting industry.

Mitch has always been intrigued with earthworks construction, and as a child he grew up studying his Grandfathers earthworks business, Tuku Contracting based in Takaka Golden Bay.

In Aug 2017 an opportunity arose at Linton Contracting Ltd as a "Trainee Operator",  after a few short months on heavy machinery Mitch proved  that he was capable of alot more and was put on the Terex Motor Scraper,

and from there has worked his way through to now operating the 30 tonne Volvo excavator decked out with the latest GPS system and overseeing job sites.

Mitch enjoys working for Lintons as he says they are a progressive company adding new technology in the form of 2D and 3D GPS systems to their machines, which makes for a more efficient and productive environment. They are also a good crowd to get on with.

Mitch also has experience in operating various heavy machinery in the Forestry Operations Industry.

In his spare time Mitch enjoys hanging out with his partner Sophie and their sons and enjoys riding motorbikes on his weekends off.
