Tony Bruce

Tony and his partner Therese shifted to Invercargill 7 years ago from Omakau, Tony did his schooling in Invercargill and was away for about 30 years and found on his return that the people were still the same down to earth good buggers as when he left, only big change for him was that Old Boys, his old rugby club, had amalgamated with Pirates.

Tony says that Invercargill suits him and Therese as they can take advantage of the direct flights to Auckland to see their Daughter, Son in law and granddaughter also Invercargill is close to Central Otago where they lived previously, and they spend a lot of time that way with friends and family.

Therese is from Ireland and as soon as the Covid allows they plan to head back over to see her family.

Tony started his civil career in Dunedin in 1993 in a sealing crew and has 26 years of contracting experience in Transport, Surfacing, Drainage, Earthworks, Sub Division Construction and large Project work.

In his spare time Tony enjoys rugby, a cold beer, Horse Racing ( Gallops ), Boating, Hunting and fishing and in that regard, takes advantage of what Central Otago and Southland has on offer.
