Most importantly, we stand by our work; if the customer isn't happy, we're not happy.

Russell Bradley, General Manager/Co-Owner

Russell Bradley, General Manager/Co-Owner

Russell is originally from the Te Anau area and has spent the last 35 years working in earthmoving and road construction and maintenance. He worked on the Te Anau - Milford Sound Alpine Highway for 11 years and also worked in Australia for a few years in mining and general earthmoving.

Russell joined Linton Contracting in 2003, and he handles the outside operations, which means he is out in the field managing the crews. He likes that every day is different and the variety of jobs and locations. Plus, he says, he meets some really, really good people along the way.

Russell and his partner Michelle have been an item since 2001. In his free time, he enjoys, sea fishing, boating and hunting.

Peter Morgan - Contracts Manager/Co-Owner

Contracts Manager/Co-Owner

Peter joined Linton Contracting in 2011, and is the partner responsible for managing the company’s contractual obligations. He also provides technical support for the company's push into non-traditional fields. Peter has been involved in construction since 1983, where he worked as a chainman on the Milford Road. His start in the aggregate industry began in 1996, when he was appointed as a Manager at SouthRoads in the aggregates arm of the business. Peter is President of the Institute of Quarrying New Zealand Executive Board.

He enjoys the daily challenges of his job and meeting interesting people along the way.

When he's not at work, Peter likes to spend time with his family, race grass karts and watch his children play sports.

Margie Wilson - Office Manager

Office Manager

Margie is a born and bred local from Winton. She has been the Office Manager at Linton Contracting since 2011. Her varied background includes administration roles in transport, timber, forestry, roofing and construction. She was also the Secretary for the New Zealand Contractors Federation from 2010 until 2014.

Margie enjoys the diversity of her job from start to finish. She handles all of the paperwork and data entry, along with making sure everything runs smoothly.

When she's not trying to keep the guys at work in line, you'll find her busy studying toward an accounting technician qualification from SIT. Margie has two teenage daughters she runs around after, but still finds the time to enjoy a bit of boating, gardening, good food, good wine and hanging out with her friends. 

Winston DeVille - Machine Operator/Special

Machine Operator/Special

Winston's background is from the construction industry in the UK. He had his own company as an owner/operator doing housing estate developments including footings, roading, services, drains etc.

Winston and his family moved to New Zealand in November 2009 where he worked for McDowall Excavating for 2 years before joining the team at Linton Contracting Ltd as Foreman/Operator.

Winston enjoys working for Lintons as he says they are a progressive company adding new technology in the form of 2D and 3D GPS systems to their machines, which makes for a more efficient and productive environment. They are also a good crowd to get on with.

In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing at home with family and gardening.


Andrew Spencer - Machine Operator

Excavator Operator

Andrew started his career in the construction/roading industry starting out in asphalt and working his way through to excavator operator.

Andrew joined the team at Linton Contracting in November 2013 where he is one of our senior excavator operators.

Andrew enjoys the challenges with earthworks, building underpasses, effluent ponds and general earthworks construction and operating his late model 20-tonne excavator with the latest 2D system.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, restoring old cars and watching speedway sidecars.

Bjorn Graham - Machine Operator

Bjorn Graham - Machine Operator

Bjorn's background was in the building industry for 12 years, building everything from hospitals to dairy sheds and houses.

Joing the team at Linton Contracting in June 2014, Bjorn discovered a new passion for operating heavy machinery.  In particular Bjorn enjoys the concept of quarrying and has recently completed the "B" Grade Managers Certificate and is working towards completing his "A" Grade Managers Certificate.

Out of work hours when Bjorn is not hunting or fishing his fianc'e and  two young daughters keep him busy.

Rhys Harvey - Machine Operator

Rhys Harvey - Machine Operator

Rhys started his career in the dairy industry, starting out as a general farm hand then as a general operator for a local quarry where he operated the lime rock crusher, loaded trucks and general maintenance.

Rhys joined the team at Linton Contracting in March 2014 where he is one of our multi machine operators.

Rhys enjoys operating a variety of machines eg bulldozer, grader, dump truck, scraper and excavators, with the excavator being his favourite.

In his spare time he enjoys motorbikes, rugby and socialising with his mates.

Lex Davis - Casual Truck Driver / Machine Operator

Lex Davis - Casual Truck Driver / Machine Operator

Lex has over 50 years Heavy Vehicle Operating experience. Prior to joining Lintons Lex worked for McDowall Transport for 45 years starting out as a stock and bulk truck driver moving onto linehaul and in the later years operating and eventually managing McDowalls Spreading.

Lex likes to keep busy and  6 months after retiring from McDowalls, he decided that was enough of that and joined the team here at Linton Contracting Ltd in July 2015 as a Casual Truck Driver / Machine Operator.

Lex enjoys spending time with his family and hunting.
