Sophie Symons

Sophie is a proud Southland local who was brought up around the drainage and construction industries, coming from families well known in farm drainage and civil construction. She joined the Linton Contracting team in October 2025 and has been part of the industry since finishing high school in 2017. During this time, she has gained a wide range of skills and experience across various areas within the construction industry. Sophie also holds a New Zealand Certificate in Civil Trades in Infrastructure – Road Construction.

Sophie enjoys the variety her role offers, particularly the opportunity to keep learning and meet new people along the way.

Outside of work, she loves spending time outside with her two Golden Retrievers, keeping busy with projects around the house, or catching up with friends and family for some cold beverages.
